Lubosh Cech
Somatic Relational Trauma and Psychedelic-Informed Counselor and Facilitator
I draw from various schools of therapy, particularly Somatic Transformation* and relational trauma-informed practices. Spirituality, intuitive energy work and psychedelic-assisted therapies strongly influence and inform my work. During the sessions, I’m interested in exploring with my client what lies underneath the narratives the mind presents, moving into the deeper, more truthful spaces of the heart and body.
Much of my work is intuitively guided and is driven by the emergence of what I call the Field. The Field is a space of all-permeating Unity Consciousness that is the basis of everything that is. It is alive, intelligent and all-knowing and has an unlimited healing potential.
*Somatic Transformation is a healing modality with a relational, body-centered focus for helping people who have experienced trauma.
“I’m not your healer. I’m your ally in your own process of healing and self discovery. Love is the healer. I’m here to help you find it within your own heart so you love yourself unconditionally.”
– Lubosh
Healing Happens in a Relationship
The work with my clients is a journey of exploration and partnership. It’s best approached with an openness and curiosity and, while the work requires a commitment to growth, the process can be playful and fun. As all adventures, it will be unpredictable and surprising and can take you to some deep and dark places. But you won’t be there alone. I’ll be with you, keeping you company and keeping you safe.
Nearly all trauma happens in relationships and leave us feeling alone and misunderstood. Healing, therefore, can only take place in a healthy relationship. Being seen, supported and understood with kindness, undivided presence and unconditional love is an experience most of us haven’t had consistently in our lives. Nothing is more healing than that!

About Lubosh
Lubosh Cech was born in Prague, Czech Republic. After receiving the Bachelor of Arts degree he completed 3 years of a Ph.D. program in the History and Theory of Fine Arts at the Charles University in Prague. Under the increasing pressure of the communist political regime, he left Prague just one year before graduating and received a political asylum in Italy, eventually relocating to the United States as a refugee. He then spent nearly a decade designing and installing art exhibitions at Harvard University Art Museums in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
During this time, Lubosh was actively painting and, in the process, began receiving images and information he didn’t understand. Mostly in the form of sacred geometry and symbols, these images let him to seeking answers in the writings of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell and the Vedic philosophy. Joining an ashram (a spiritual community) in Cambridge helped him to explore this intuitive emergence and the ancient spiritual teachings and practices.
For 12 years in the ashram, Lubosh engaged in rigorous spiritual training studying and teaching meditation, yoga and the philosophy and practices of Kashmir Shaivism (non-dual Tantra) under the guidance of many accomplished teachers.
After leaving the ashram in 2002, he gradually expanded his studies to shamanism and various embodiment practices aiding the expansion of human consciousness. He studied and collaborated with Drs. David Simon and Deepak Chopra, the founders of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.
Lubosh has trained in Somatic Relational Trauma-Informed Practices for Medicine-Assisted Facilitation under Rita Bozi and is on her team as her assistant.
In the counseling and medicine sessions, Lubosh explores with his clients the roots of the personal and collective traumas, the lessons they can teach us and, ultimately, lead us to the experience of wholeness, peace and the unity with all of Life.
Lubosh lives in Portland, Oregon, United States and works with clients internationally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Counseling is a journey we undertake together and requires a commitment to yourself and to the process. Some issues can be resolved in a few sessions. Typically, longer time is needed to establish and grow the relational field that, in fact, facilitates the healing. This can take months of work.

I’ve been successfully working with men and women and my practice is open to all.
I'm especially qualified in men's work because I understand what it is like to be a man in this culture.
While souls have no gender and all humans share similar challenges in life, men are facing unique ones, particularly in having a greater difficulty in being embodied (perhaps because men don't create life), being in touch with their feelings and intuition and generally having a diminished awareness and skills in navigating the relational field.
It is my desire to help men on their journey, drawing from my own experiences.

There's no guarantee in life nor in the counseling work. Once you make the decision toward personal healing and transformation, much of the work is already done and the soil is fertile for planting the seeds and for growing your new life. My suggestion is to follow your gut feeling and, if it calls you, give the session a try.
